Overview

Local whenever possible

Pofu is a personal nutrition app designed to keep meal, goal, and progress records on your device whenever possible.

Data you create

Your nutrition records

The app may store meals, food items, serving details, calories, macros, water logs, weight logs, plans, recipes, grocery lists, favorites, custom foods, profile settings, and widget preferences locally on your device.

Permissions

Optional access

Pofu may ask for camera, photo library, microphone, speech recognition, HealthKit, and widget-related access. Permissions are used only for features you choose and can be managed in iOS Settings.

AI features

Only selected context is sent

If you use AI photo logging, voice logging, meal planning, recipe generation, or nutrition chat, the selected text, food context, profile preferences, voice transcript, or image needed for that request may be sent to the AI service provider.

Barcode and food lookup

Lookup data is feature-specific

When you scan a barcode or search food data, the barcode or query may be used to retrieve nutrition information. Results should be reviewed before saving.

Health and nutrition

Tracking, not medical advice

Nutrition targets, AI responses, meal scans, and plan suggestions are estimates for personal tracking only. Pofu is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Subscriptions

Apple handles purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pofu does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Export and deletion

Control app data

You can export or remove app data using in-app tools where available, or by deleting the app from your device. Apple-managed purchase records may remain available through your Apple ID.
