Gallerio Swipe Clean is built so that your gallery stays yours. This page explains exactly what leaves your device, what does not, and how to erase everything.

Privacy questions and requests: gallerio.app@gmail.com
| Data | Why | When |
|---|---|---|
| An anonymous account identifier | To hold your profile without asking you to register | Created automatically on first launch |
| Display name | To greet you and label your profile | When you set up or edit your profile |
| Profile photo | To show on your own profile inside the app | Only if you add one |
| Birthday, vibe and favourite things, all optional | To tailor the app to you | Only if you fill them in |
| Email address, and name if the provider supplies it | To keep your account recoverable and let it move to a new device | Only if you connect Apple or Google |
That is the whole list. We do not ask for your address, phone number or payment details, and we do not buy data about you from anyone.
This is the part that matters most, so it is spelled out in full.
When you open a tool that works with your gallery, iOS asks for permission to read your photo library. That access is used on your device only. Swipe Clean reads photos to show them to you one at a time and to add up how much space you could free; Photo Templates reads them so you can drop them into a layout; Gallery Wrapped counts dates and hearts; Story Templates picks frames to fill a card. None of it is uploaded, and none of it is sent to us.
Photo Templates, Gallery Wrapped and Story Templates render an image on your device and save it to your own Photos library when you ask them to. If you tap Share instead, iOS hands the image to whichever app you choose — from that point it is covered by that app's own privacy policy, not ours. Nothing is uploaded to us either way.
Swiping a photo away inside Swipe Clean does not delete it. It is moved to a trash that exists only inside the app, on your device, and you can restore anything from it. A photo is removed from your library only after you select it in that trash and confirm, and only through the iOS deletion dialog, which puts it in Photos → Recently Deleted where the system keeps it for 30 days. Deleting your Gallerio account never touches your photo library.
Your profile photo, if you set one. It is stored so that it survives a reinstall and travels with you if you connect an Apple or Google account, and it is deleted when you delete your account. Nobody else can see it — the app has no surface on which another person could appear. No other image ever leaves your device.
Before that one photo is uploaded, the app rebuilds it. The picture you picked is decoded, its rotation is baked into the pixels, it is scaled down to no more than 512 pixels on its longest side, and it is written out again as a fresh JPEG. The metadata the original carried does not survive that step: the GPS coordinates, the capture date and the camera model are all gone from the file we receive. This is worth spelling out because the iOS photo picker hands an app location data by default — without this step, a profile photo would arrive carrying the coordinates of wherever it was taken. A photo you take with the in-app camera never carries that information in the first place.
We check this rather than assume it. A test image deliberately stamped with GPS coordinates, a capture date and an iPhone 15 Pro camera tag comes out the other side with none of the three, and we have pulled an uploaded file back off the device to confirm that is what actually reaches storage.
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions and App Check) as our processor. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are not part of the app. The database, file storage and server functions for Gallerio are hosted in europe-west3 (Frankfurt, Germany), inside the European Union.
Google may process limited diagnostic and delivery data outside the EU. Where that happens it is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Under the GDPR we rely on:
Open the app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete account and confirm. This removes your profile and your profile photo from our servers and closes your login.
Photos in your device's library are not touched.
If you cannot reach the app, write to gallerio.app@gmail.com and we will erase the account for you.
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to processing, or receive it in a portable format. Write to gallerio.app@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Gallerio Swipe Clean is not intended for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it. In countries where the age of consent for data processing is higher than 13, you must be at least that age. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
